The Essay Writing for Exams teaching tool is intended for teachers and pupils, students and everyone who intends to take the English language state matriculation or international IELTS, TOEFL or SAT exams and to successfully prepare for the writing task - to create an essay based on the given task input. The publication was prepared based on the 2014 foreign language matriculation exam program, general secondary education programs and Common European Framework of Reference for Languages: Learning, Teaching, Assessment. Essay Writing for Exams and focused on B2/C1 language skills levels. The book introduces and consistently teaches the principles of paragraph and essay writing, strategies for teaching ideas and how to write in different types (e.g. Advantages-Disadvantages, Contrast-Comparison, Cause-Effect, Problem-Solution, Opinion, Argumentative, etc.) essay/essay in a defined form. The book focuses on the development of academic language skills. The differences between the neutral and formal register are emphasized, and the correct use of sentences with a more complex structure is taught. Learners will find various types of essays, tasks, exercises and links to the online space to watch video lessons and complete interactive tasks.
